My name is Lilita Gcwabe. I am a South African born African Multimedia Journalist and Media Consultant. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Journalism & Media Studies with a specialization in Television Journalism and Political Studies & International Relations at Rhodes University in 2019. I obtained my Higher Certificate in Commercial Photography specializing in Documentary Fashion at the Stellenbosch Academy of Design & Photography in 2016. I am currently an intern Multimedia Journalist and Content Producer based in Western Cape.

I have a passion for journalism that exists in writing and visually documenting human interest stories and social circumstances that are politically influenced and affected by the political climate of the South African society, and of Africa, in a broader context. I'm passionate about labour media, political education and community development.

My skills in working with the camera and writing have aided me in expressing this passion through documenting, editing and producing researched and impactful projects which inspire me to keep learning and growing in media.
